Easy-to-follow recipe
Ingredients:
- Salted butter
- Granulated sugar
- Light brown sugar
- Eggs
- Sour cream
- Milk
- Vanilla extract
- All purpose flour
- Salt
- Baking powder
- Mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees
- In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugars with an electric stand or hand mixer
- Add eggs and mix to combine
- Add in the remaining wet ingredients – sour cream, milk and vanilla extract and mix again
- In a small bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients – flour, salt, and baking powder
- Add dry ingredients into the bowl with the wet ingredients and mix until combined
- Fold in 1 and 1/2 cups of chocolate chips (save remaining 1/4 to sprinkle on top)

Equipment
- 1 Standard 12 cup muffin tin
- Muffin cup liners (if you are not greasing the pan)
- Electric mixer (hand or stand mixer)
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter (softened at room temperature)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 3/4 cups mini semi-sweet chocolate chips (divided)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- Cream butter and sugars
- Add in eggs and mix again
- Then add remaining wet ingredients (sour cream, milk and vanilla) and mix until combined
- In a separate small bowl, whisk together dry ingredients
- Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix to combine
- Mix in 1 and 1/2 cups of chocolate chips to batter
- Pour batter into a 12 cup muffin tin (greased or lined with muffin cup liners) and sprinkle tops with remaining chocolate chips. Batter will fill cups to the top.
- Cook for 25 to 27 minutes or until interested toothpick comes out clean
- Allow to cool in pan for 10 minutes before transferring to cooling rack
